Responsibilities:
Management
Provides leadership to the IT Team to assure day-to-day responsibilities are carried out safely and efficiently with minimum disruption.
Models Willow Valley Communities culture of service and leads the IT Team in delivering a positive experience for all stakeholders
Responsible for monitoring the overall status of tasks and projects (in progress and planned) within department through collaboration with IT functional Team Leaders.
Selects projects/services for in-house or contract services based on available resources, best fit and value. Delegates in-house projects/tasks appropriately. Provides WVC a liaison for contracted services; responsible for cost, schedule, and performance.
Interviews, evaluates, selects, and hires Team Members to meet projected needs within corporate goals. Provides Team Member assignments, appraisals, discipline, motivation, termination, and salary adjustments as required.
Provides for individualized Team Member training, both for subordinates and Team Members at large.
Fosters and maintains communications with subordinate and peer Team Members on job-related, personnel, and administrative issues to ascertain their requirements and the performance of the IT Team.
Provides support with strategic planning and growth plans consistent with corporate needs.
Collaborates on departmental goal setting/assignment process.
Seeks new ways to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Security/Regulatory
Ensures IT activities conform to applicable specifications, industry codes and standards, business Director of Information Technology practices, and corporate policies.
Stays abreast of applicable federal, state, and industry regulations and authorities having jurisdiction.
Assures the security and stability of our network infrastructure and business systems from internal and external threats.
Ensures appropriate maintenance and upgrades are completed and timely data backup/archiving and security processes are in place.
Audits and secures software distribution licenses.
Leads the process for appropriate internal standardization, including creation and/or review of policies, procedures and specifications.
General
Part of IT On Duty rotation covering evenings and weekends.
Supervisory
Provides overall leadership to entire Information Technology Team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from four-year college, or four to ten years leadership experience and/or training with strong background in either networks, systems, or applications; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
