Lead Security Officer

In this role, you'll serve as a leader within the Security team, supporting daily operations, responding to emergencies, assisting with training and scheduling, and helping ensure the protection of people, property, and assets throughout our communities.

What You'll Do

  • Acts as Shift Lead and Point of Contact in the absence of the Safety and Security Coordinator.
  • Assists in developing schedules, and assigning or allocating daily activities of security officers. Acts in a lead capacity during emergencies and situations out of the ordinary.
  • Assists with coverage on various shifts during other security officer’s vacations.
  • Responds to and assists with all emergencies.
  • Monitors CCTV for any safety and security issues.
  • Performs mobile patrols throughout Willow Valley properties, with special focus on parking lots and Resident dwellings.
  • Performs foot patrols looking for any security and safety issues.
  • Enforces policies and procedures, such as loitering, smoking, unauthorized removal of Willow Valley property, as well as contacting local authorities to report any suspicious or criminal activities.
  • Looks for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked. May be required to clean up minor water leaks and/or plunge toilets and other first echelon
    maintenance tasks.
  • Observes arriving and departing personnel to guard against theft of company and Resident property.
  • Conducts visitor check-in and permits only authorized persons to enter property; may escort guests/contractors/vendors.
  • Sounds alarm or calls police and/or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Maintains Security Officers various reports (ie., Security Officer Daily Activity Report, Incident Reports, lighting surveys, service orders, etc.).
  • Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.
  • Reports Team Members who are observed violating company policies and/or procedures.
  • Regulates Resident, Team Member and guest parking.
  • Performs preliminary investigation of all reported safety, security and transportation issues.
  • Assists with and ensures that all security officers are fully trained.
  • Performs daily on the spot inspections with all assigned security officers, including uniform appearance checks.
  • Assists with fire and safety inspections throughout Willow Valley Communities ensuring that Willow Valley is in compliance with OSHA/NFPA/NEC/DOH standards.
  • Submits (typed) Fire/Safety Inspection Reports for each Community.
  • Performs on the spot safety inspections to ensure contractors/subcontractors are following Willow Valley’s Safety Guidelines.
  • Assists in conducting thorough investigations of all incidents relating to Security, Safety and Transportations.
  • Supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Safety and Security Coordinator.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is a dependable and detail-oriented professional who demonstrates strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to providing exceptional service while maintaining a secure environment.

  • Must possess a valid PA Driver’s License and pass a MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.

Schedule & Hours

  • Full Time 40 hours/week
  • Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00AM-4:30PM
