Position Summary

The Adult Day-Care Partner plays a vital role in enriching the lives of adults attending our Among Friends Adult Day Center, located within the new Marlin & Doris Thomas Memory Center.

This position goes beyond providing assistance with daily tasks. We are seeking someone who believes in building relationships, creating moments of joy, and helping individuals live life to the fullest. Through meaningful engagement, companionship, and compassionate support, you'll help members experience connection, purpose, comfort, and dignity throughout their day.

 🧠 What You'll Do

• Assist members with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence and dignity
• Facilitate engaging recreational, social, physical, and creative activities
• Build meaningful relationships with members and their families
• Create a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement
• Assist with meals and snacks in a respectful and person-centered manner
• Observe and communicate changes in members' physical, emotional, or cognitive well-being
• Collaborate with team members to create joyful, personalized experiences
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe member spaces
• Assist with transportation of members as needed

🎯 Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Compassion for older adults and individuals living with dementia
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Comfort using computerized software systems
• Reliable attendance and dependability

Preferred:

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
• Medication Administration Certification
• Previous experience in caregiving, adult day programs, memory care, or long-term care settings

Candidates without certification must be willing and eligible to obtain required certifications through Willow Valley Communities upon hire.
